Yale National Initiative
to strengthen teaching in public schools
The Most Professional PD You Will Find
The Yale National Initiative offers the opportunity for full-time K-12 teachers from Richmond (and other high needs districts around the country) to participate in seminars to strengthen teachers' content knowledge. Work with Yale professors who bring the expertise of content, while you provide the expertise of pedagogy.
Teachers create curriculum units to engage their students. The program also develops teacher leadership skills and a network of teachers from around the country. The program is collegial and also expands your professional relationships within RPS.
The Yale National Initiative is collaborative, challenging, reinvigorating and transformative.
