Summer Reading Ideas
Ideas to Keep Your Kids Reading all Summer Long!
Keep Them Reading
Did you know that students lose an average of 2.6 months worth of school during the summer months, and that approximately 1 month is spent every fall reteaching skills that were previously learned? We can prevent that! Keep them reading all summer long by visiting your library, using our online tools and discussing your books together!

Summer Reading Programs
Please remember to visit the public library this summer for their annual reading promotion. Registration begins June 1st and runs through the summer. The school libraries will also be sending home fliers from Barnes and Noble, explaining how your students can earn free books simply by reading!
Also, please note that the Lincoln library will be open during summer school hours and the Underwood library will be open Wednesday afternoons in June and July.
