See Hunger in a whole new way
Join CISL for an Oxfam Hunger Banquet Event on Friday Dec. 1st at 6:30 p.m.
Registration forms are available in the CISL office and on the CISL website. The cost for students is $8 and $10 for adults – seating is limited. CISL students can earn up to 8 points for family participation and submitted reflection on this event.

Foreign Language and Culture (FLAC) Program
This is a program created to raise cultural awareness in elementary school students by having high school students present about their own cultures through games, food, music, and other fun activities.
We are looking for students who would like to share their cultures with these elementary students at Kyle Wilson Elementary School (right down the street from Hylton). Click below to sign up:
HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMATS SUMMER PROGRAM
HSD is a ten-day program hosted at Princeton University allowing American students to live and interact with Japanese students. 40 students from both countries meet and learn about each other's country, culture, and life.

Students aged 15 to 18 are invited to apply to study abroad for one academic year, through any of three programs:
The Congress Bundestag Youth Exchange Program is an opportunity for students to live with a host family in Germany, attending a local high school and learning the German language and culture. The application period is open from Sept. 5 to Dec. 11, 2017, and 250 scholarships are available. For more information, please visit http://www.usagermanyscholarship.org/.
The Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study Abroad offers merit-based scholarships for students to study in one of 13 countries in the Middle East, Africa, Asia and the Balkans. The application period is open from Sept. 5 to Dec. 5, 2017, and 65 scholarships are available. For more information please visit http://www.yes-abroad.org/.
The National Security Language Initiative for Youth offers a language immersion program for students to learn Arabic, Mandarin, Hindi, Bahasa Indonesia, Korean, Persian, Russian or Turkish. No previous language experience is necessary. Programs may take place in: China, Estonia, India, Indonesia, Jordan, South Korea, Latvia, Moldova, Morocco, Russia, Taiwan, Tajikistan, Turkey and other locations around the world. The application period is open from Aug. 25 to Nov. 2, 2017 and approximately 670 scholarships are available. For more information please visit http://www.nsliforyouth.org/.
