Principal Message
Greetings, Ride Families!
We had a wonderful Valentine's Day at Ride this week. The kids exchanged a valentine with their classmates and enjoyed a small treat. It was a perfect day to practice our character trait of integrity. Integrity is all of our traits wrapped into one; like being friendly, kind, inclusive, respectful and appreciating others.
This weekend is a four day weekend for the kids. They have been working hard and deserve it!!
Have a great weekend. I hope you have a chance to get out and do something fun.
Sincerely,
Megan Burnham

Lost and Found Items
As we have cool mornings and warmer afternoons, we have noticed an increase in jackets and coats in the lost and found. Please remember to write your child’s name in their outerwear items and have them check the lost and found, located at the end of each grade level hallway. We tend to get many items left over, and I know these items easily get lost during transition or recess times. Please feel free to stop in after school if you would like to look for some lost items!
Ride Through The Decades
The 2023 Ride through the Decades Spring Carnival planning committee is looking for silent auction items. If you own a business and would like to donate we would love to help promote your business. 100% of the funds raised through the silent auction go directly to the PTO, which then go directly into the school.
PTO funds various school functions including field trips, math and reading tutoring, teacher support, professional development, substitute pay, computer programs/licenses, technology, reading incentive programs, playground equipment and repairs, copy paper, school beautification and so much more. All funds the PTO raises goes towards enhancing each child's education at Sally K. Ride.

Lunch Sign-Up
Due to limited seating in the cafeteria, we are offering two options for lunch signups. You will have the opportunity to sign up to eat in the cafeteria with your child or outside in our gazebo/picnic table area. You will not be able to change locations after signup is complete. If you sign up to eat outside and it rains, you will be unable to move into the building due to limited seating. You may sign up for another day/time.
Each slot is available for two adults and the child you are eating lunch with..
Please see the schedule below for designated grade level lunch visitor’s days. Make sure that you sign up under the correct time slot for your child’s lunchtime. Each student may have a lunch visitor once every 3.5-week period. This ensures every parent has an opportunity to sign up. Remember to bring a valid id when you visit the building.
Due to limited seating in the cafeteria, we are asking all parents with small children to eat outside in the gazebo area.
