AUGUST is a busy month and our campuses will need your assistance during the first month of the school year. Please be sure to log into Absence Management regularly to accept assignments. Fridays and Mondays usually have a lot of last-minute assignments - we need your assistance with accepting assignments on those days.

How do I accept substitute assignments for the 2022-2023 school year?
If you already have access - you will not be sent a new invitation to your district email to access the system. If this is your first time logging in with the new system - you should have received a personal invitation email to your district email account to access the system & accept substitute job assignments. Substitutes are required to click the link in their district email to create a Frontline ID & password. ***DO NOT USE THE SSO LINK*** We highly encourage you to continue using your district email for the Frontline ID. Substitutes will no longer accept assignments at www.aesoponline.com.
If you have an existing Frontline ID account, click “Sign in with your Frontline ID.” If you do not have an existing Frontline ID account, click “Create a Frontline ID.” Enter a username, password, email address, and click “I accept the terms and conditions." Then click “Create Frontline ID” and you are all set! 😊

For technology-related issues, related to your district email account, please contact the IT Service Desk at 972-925-5630. Unfortunately, the Substitute Office has no way of resetting your password. If you forget your Frontline password – please click Forgot Password on the login screen – a link will be sent to your email to reset your password.

We have some exciting news! :)
To stay competitive in the market & provide the support needed for students & campuses, Dallas ISD has increased the 2022-2023 per diem rates for substitutes. 😊
The following substitute teacher categories will receive an additional $10 daily increase to assist with classroom campuses across the District.
- Teacher Assistant $88.00
- Teacher Non-Degreed-Non-Certified->60 College Hours/Associates (preferred) $110.00
- Teacher Degreed-Non-Certified $115.00
- Teacher Degreed-Certified $120.00
- Teacher Degreed-Certified Dallas ISD Retired $130.00
- Teacher Degreed-Bilingual Vacancy $170.00
- Teacher Degreed-Certified (Special Education Unit) $130.00
- Nurse $260.00
- Counselor $270.00
- Assistant Principal $289.36
- Principal $384.50
2022-2023 SCHOOL YEAR CALENDAR
What calendar does my school use?
There are three different Dallas ISD 2022-2023 school year calendars. The majority of campuses will have a base calendar. All high schools will follow the base calendar.
Forty schools will have an Intersession calendar, and four schools will have a School Day Redesign Calendar. The alternative calendars are one part of a comprehensive effort Dallas ISD is taking to help ensure the pandemic doesn’t have a long-lasting negative impact on student learning.
Schools will begin as early as August 1st - substitutes are eligible to begin accepting assignments at those campuses.

2022-2023 SUBSTITUTE CAMPUS COORDINATOR LIST
Each campus has a set person or people who work with the substitute population. It may be an office manager, an assistant principal, or a financial clerk. This coordinator is in charge of handling substitute assignments, classroom placements, and most importantly time sheets. On the substitute webpage there is a link to the substitute campus coordinator for each campus. Please refer to this list anytime you have questions regarding your assignment or payment for that specific campus. It is a common misconception that the substitute office handles payroll for substitutes. Each campus (typically the office manager) is in charge of submitting time sheets to payroll for all assignments worked on their campus. If you ever believe there is a discrepancy on your paycheck, please be sure to reach out to the specific campus you took your assignments at. PROPER TIME KEEPING PROCEDURES-BIOMETRIC CLOCK
The Substitute Office would like to remind all substitute employees that it is district policy to clock in AND out. To ensure proper information transition to your time cards. While rare, if you are unable to clock in using the biometric clock, be sure to inform the campus Office Manager.

SUBSTITUTE EXPERIENCE TEACHER FEEDBACK REGARDING SUBSTITUTE PERFORMANCE
As a reminder, you will be evaluated on your performance by the teacher you are substituting for. We've provided the questions that the teachers will answer below, as a way to guide your efforts in their absence.
- Was all classroom work collected?
- Was the room left as neat and clean as it was found?
- Was classroom work explained satisfactorily?
- Did students report that they were treated fairly and consistently?
- Were any disciplinary issues reported?

REMINDER: DON'T FORGET TO UPDATE YOUR PERSONAL CONTACT INFORMATION IN ORACLE
See the steps below to updating your mailing address as well as resetting your oracle if you have forgotten your login information.
How to update your mailing address in Oracle:
- Log into Oracle by clicking here
- Select DISD Employee Self-Service
- Select Employee Self Service
- Select Human Capital Management Information
- Select Personal Information
You will see all your contact information with the district. If any changes need to be made you can select update in the appropriate fields.
*Be aware if you are updating your phone number it MUST follow the same (***) ***-**** format. Also, that will change your phone number login (not pin) for Aesop (updates are made nightly).
*The Substitute Office CANNOT update personal information for substitutes, it must be made in Oracle.
Resetting your Oracle Password on a Biometric Clock:
From any campus Biometric Clock, using your employee ID number you can select "Password Reset" and enter your employee ID number. It will ask for your fingerprint and then reset your password to your SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER (no dashes). Once you log in, it will ask you to change your password.
If you need further assistance or have forgotten your username, please contact the Technical Assistance Center (TAC) at 972-925-5630. Unfortunately, the substitute office has no way of resetting it on your behalf.
