PSAT
Why take the PSAT?
ASVAB
Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors have the opportunity to take the ASVAB aptitude test at 8:15 on Tuesday, September 18.
The sign-up is in the front office and there is no cost and this is optional.
ASVAB stands for the Armed Service Vocational Aptitude Battery. Students who are looking at joining the military may want to consider taking the ASVAB but it is not just for students interested in the military. ASVAB is a great career assessment tool that can help a student identify which career areas best suit them. Because this is an aptitude test it doesn’t just tell you what you are currently good at, it will also tell you what you may be good at learning.
The ASVAB does not obligate you to anything. It is used by the military to determine if you are qualified to join and what area or areas you would excel in but also has other benefits as well. The ed specialist will return in the fall to go over score interpretation with students.
