Memo from Mary and Todd
PD Moment
Here is a link for some great timers, but there are tons of timers online that you can access. I encourage you to implement this simple change and see the difference it makes in your classroom.
Coach's Corner - Hannah Planansky
This time of year is busy! There are a lot of things on your plate with building plans and conferences and report cards and loads of other things you are doing everyday to keep classroom instruction smooth and on point. Please reach out for support if you are feeling overwhelmed or if you are needing help. Also, please take care of yourself and put on your oxygen mask first. The best way to serve your students is to make sure you are well.

Purchase Requests (per Pat)
All purchases must be approved in advance, including any purchase a teacher makes and then requests reimbursement for. It is still up to the teacher to secure a copy of our sales tax exempt form from the office before making any purchase as we do not reimburse for sales tax.
Each regular classroom, full time teacher (this excludes specials teachers as they have a different budget), have $150/year available to them for expenses specific to their classroom. These funds are not to be spent on regular items that we already purchase for classrooms, (which is another reason for the prior approval). If they put in their purchase request through the normal intranet process, we can usually purchase items at a lower cost through our established vendors. I try to process all purchase requests at least twice a month.
If they intend to use these funds for their classrooms, they need to do so prior to spring break.

Shoutout to Debbie for giving the MASSIVE makeover the Lost & Found needed! I couldn't clean or organize all the stuff that gets forgotten there, so kudos to Debbie for making it (albeit briefly) beautiful!
Shoutout to Hannah for being so helpful and visiting to show me how to set up the grades with a follow up once they were up!
From Nikki:
To Aaron for saving me! I couldn’t get my DVD Book Fair video trailers to load for my first class on Monday! He swooped in and got it running, just as we finished story time and were getting ready to watch the videos!
To Sami for the cute Starburst mailbox note!
To Mark for helping me to calm a 2nd grade class in the hall who evacuated the library because of a bunch of live bees that flew in! He bravely went in the classroom and took care of the critters (RIP insect friends)!
From Sara:
To Aaron for always doing such an amazing job on crossing duty. I have no idea how you stay so calm with so many cars moving around you in the morning. I am glad we are in good hands with you and your stop sign.
To Charlotte for working with Anita and I to serve our kindergarten students with small group instruction in Reading and Writing. Thanks for always being prepared and asking all the right questions always. Your support of little ones is critical.
From Rachel:
Sami Auster for making my day with a "spooktacular" treat in my mailbox...thank-you for boosting morale and energy reserves during this busy season!
