mass reflections
Good people are protected by God, but evil lurks around haunting the innocent and faithless. We have to find the good in ourselves, so we can overcome and defeat evil. When we want to do good, we must do it whole-heartedly in our own ways. Look within our own self to fully reassure we're doing good and following God. We can do good by finding youth groups and ministries. Evil finds our weaknesses and uses it against us, so we must fight that urge of falling for it. God gives us the opportunity to do better, so we must follow Him. - Noah
Today's homily mostly talked about doing good. Everyone should do good in their lives and make good choices like God has called us to do. We are called to find the good in everyone and everything. Making good decisions means to do things that God would like and that can make things better for ourselves and others. Don't do evil things that God wouldn't like. - AJ
All people have their own responsibilities, in their own home, outside of work, or even in a public place like a park. Jesus teaches us to always do the right thing, making good choices, and to think about the consequences of a bad action. Any sin, big or small, is still a sin and there should be no compromise making when choosing to sin. Find the good in your actions, see the good in your choices, and find the best way to do something that God will be happy with. - Mireya

Health Hero Florida makes immunizations available to every child in an effort to stop diseases like the flu in their tracks, and reduce absenteeism in schools. For more information about Health Hero Florida, visit www.healthheroflorida.com.
Flu season normally peaks between December and February, and can last all the way through May, so fall clinics are the perfect time for your child to receive a flu vaccine. We encourage you to register your child to participate in Health Hero Florida's in-school immunization program. Thank you for your help as St. Joseph Catholic School partners with Health Hero Florida to stop the flu in its tracks!

roof and air conditioner update
Roof
As you know, we were scheduled to have the roof replaced on our main school building this past summer. We were blessed with the generous support of our parishioners and school families to fund this project. It was scheduled to be completed this past summer. However, due to delay in receiving of materials, the project had to be put on hold. Gator Roofing is our contractor and is planning to complete the project while school is closed for Thanksgiving break. *Please note the early dismissal/calendar change for Friday, November 19th.
Air Conditioners
The Diocesan Finance Council has approved the replacement of 10 air conditioning units for our school. We have signed a contract with Citrus Air to complete this project in tandem with the roof replacement. The air conditioning units are located on the top of the roof, so the simultaneous replacement of the roof and a/c units is perfect.
We are grateful for your continued financial support in maintaining and upgrading our buildings. We have experienced challenges in recent years of leaky roofs and inefficient air conditioners. The replacements of these systems are necessary for the long term maintenance of our building and facility. Thank you!
