Anderson School 2020-2021
We are digging in! In person or remote learning?
The "Heart" of Anderson
We look forward to welcoming your child back to school, either in person or via remote learning. I want to assure each family that we will be doing all we can to make sure COVID-19 does not take the fun out of Anderson. Of course, we will be following all of the important safety guidelines, but that won't take away the "Heart" of our school. We will have fun each day! We will celebrate hard work and learning! We will ensure that we are doing all we can to help our students feel connected to our school, and motivated to be their best. If remote learning is the best option for your child, we will, of course, do what we can to help them feel connected to Anderson, while also supporting the efforts of their new teacher, as they build a remote learning classroom community.
Thank you for all of your ongoing support for your child's learning and patience as we make plans and preparations for the start of this year.
We are all facing unique challenges during these times. Our Andeson Team is committed to helping ensure that your child's social/emotional and academic learning continues to improve as much as possible.
Please take a few minutes and fill out the online documents indicating what is the best option for your family. (D303 Student Attendance Selection form: In-Person or Remote Learning)

Dear District 303 Families,
Thank you for sending your questions and suggestions about the District 303 Reopen Schools Plan. We have included answers to many of your questions on our Frequently Asked Questions document that you can access on the District 303 Reopen School web page. As you can imagine, we have received hundreds of emails so we will continue to add to this document throughout the coming days.
Also included on the web page is a link to the 2020-2021 Student Attendance Selection Form. Please complete this form for each child who is or will be enrolled in District 303 for the upcoming school year by July 20. If you have not completed the returning student registration form, please use this link to complete it for the upcoming school year.
The State of Illinois Legislature has made the November 3 election day a school non-
attendance day. In addition, the state has provided remote learning planning days for teachers during the school year. The first remote learning planning day in District 303 will be August 12. As a result, the first day of student attendance is now Thursday, August 13 for in-person, blended, and/or remote learning. A copy of the new calendar that was approved by the School Board last night is available on our website.
Thank you for your continued support and patience as we work to safely reopen schools.
