  • April 20,21 and 22 STAAR Testing (Rooms get covered on Friday. Use green or blue to cover. We will recycle for ACPs.)
  • April 22nd Earth Day
  • April 24th: Cary Luau (Dance)

Our CARY Goals

This Week: DEAD WEEK. NO MORNING GROUPS. ONLY TUTORING GROUPS. SEND INVITE TICKETS.

Monday, April 13TH (Dead week: Pick up a tutoring group. Send tickets Tuesday-Friday)

We will have our 90 minute after school meeting broken up in two PLCs. We will have NO after school faculty meetings.


  • Faculty dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings (Raising money for M. Garcia family.)
  • Students stay for tutoring until 5pm
  • LO and DOL up by 8am. Please, put up before you leave in the afternoon.
  • Remember the 50/50 rule. (You can take attendance normally and fill out a form for anyone coming in that was counted absent before the 23 minute mark)
  • Please send home "tutoring invites" to tier 2 and tier 3 students.
  • Mosaic Family boys group tomorrow at 10:30. This is a mandatory once a week group to address severe behavior. *Students should not be told NOT to go to the group. This is a counseling group on behavior modification and choice making. Not a quick fix, but addressing for long term.

  • Steering Committee meets at 3:50 in room 105
  • Mr. Hise visits
  • Academic Facilitators on campus for reading/LA

  • Reminders about Saturday School go home during 7th period
  • All rooms are covered for testing on Monday. (Use blue or green butcher paper..Please, do not leave without covering your room.)

  • Kudos to Mr. Shaw for taking on TESTING... We appreciate the organized effort and support. (Please do not tell Mr. Shaw.. He has asked for no kudos..)
  • Thank you, Mr. Bates, for your help with the Mavericks event. Beautifully done. (This is not a kudos since you have asked for no kudos..)
  • Kudos to Mr. Salas for bringing in motivational speakers from a pro-soccer team to speak with our soccer players.
  • Kudos to Ms. Lewis for taking on DI! She took our team to Austin over the weekend to continue competing.
  • Kudos to Ms. Hull for spreading your "supply pack" idea. We are seeing your energy in other classrooms. Students have their supplies in class, so no time is wasted.
  • Kudos to Mr. Washington for being an excellent mentor to students and trying to raise our athletics program to new levels.
