New Announcements

NHS: The 1st meeting for 2016 is Friday during A (A-L) and B (M-Z) Block lunches. Be there on time AND SIGN IN!

BLOCK LUNCH GUEST SPEAKER: Want to know how you can brand yourself strategically for the right universities and scholarships? E.J. Carrion, Best Selling Author and White House Speaker, can help you self-discover what you want to do after high school, build a portfolio for universities/scholarships, and package that for success. E.J. will be a guest speaker at Jasper TODAY at 12:45pm in room 1100. Please eat lunch before you attend.

STUCO: Hey STUCO! We will have a short info meeting during B block on Tues., Jan 19th in room 1100. We will discuss winter formal details! Hope you can make it!

SCHEDULE CHANGE REQUESTS: Counselors are taking schedule change requests for course level changes through Friday, January 15th. There will be no elective changes granted due to class space.

WINTER FORMAL: Attention all Jags! On January 30th, Jasper presents your Winter Formal: Starry Nights, City Lights! Tickets will be on sale January 25th through the 29th, during block lunch. The tickets are $10, but will go up to $15 at the door. If you are planning on taking someone from another school, a guest form must be filled out and turned in by the end of the day on Thursday, January 28th.

If you’re planning on asking someone to the big dance, the deadline for your #jhsask submissions is January 22nd. The winner of the most creative “ask” will get two free tickets to the dance.

Feel free to dress as fancy as you want for the dance! Standard attire is a homecoming style dress for girls, and dress slacks and ties for the boys. Dresses may be strapless, or have spaghetti straps, but must still be in tasteful fashion. Join us for music, food, dancing, and a lot of fun! We can’t wait to see you at the big dance on January 30th!

AVID: Applications for the AVID elective were distributed on Tuesday. If you are a freshman and think you might be interested in learning more about the AVID class but didn’t receive an application or if you received an application and have some questions about the class, please see Ms. Moreno in classroom 2034 before or after school. All applications are due on Thursday, January 21st.”

JASPER BASEBALLTRYOUTS: Attention Baseball Players! Tryouts are Friday, Jan. 29th at 4:30pm on the Jasper Field. Please sign up outside Coach Z’s office. A completed physical is required to try out.

WHIZ QUIZ: Please make plans to attend our Friday practices during A block lunch. Practice attendance is required for participation in the January 30 district meet.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY: We'll be having our first meeting of the year THIS Friday after school in room 2035/2036! You can still join. Right after we'll be watching a fun movie. See you there!
