Loveland's Expectations

Be Safe

Be Respectful

Be Responsible

Dear Loveland Families,

I am happy to report that we had 98% participation in our spring parent/teacher communication meetings. Our shared commitment and support of student learning certainly shows! Thank you and enjoy spring break!

To Dam or Not To Dam

Fourth graders took part in the annual debate about whether to build a dam upriver of their hypothetical town. Students dressed in costumes and took on funny names to represent the townspeople. Each student wrote a persuasive opening statement and a letter to the town's Mayor, emphasizing why the dam should or should not be built. Although both sides made amazing persuasive arguments, it was decided NOT to build the dam.

Coming Soon!

We will be having a virtual concert this year for each of our music classes! The students are very excited to share with you what we have been doing this year. Each class has picked their favorite songs, games and activities to share! You will be receiving an email with a concert link in the near future, where you will be able to view, share and congratulate your students on the GREAT job they have been doing in music this year. We are looking forward to sharing our favorite activities with you soon!

Loveland Autism Awareness Day - April 9th

World Autism Awareness Day is April 2nd in which the world is asked to "light it up blue" to raise awareness about Autism. Westside's spring break is that week so Loveland will be having our own Light It Up Blue day on April 9th. During that week, all students will be learning more about Autism and how they can be a more supportive friend/classmate. We will end our week on Friday, April 9th by asking all students to join us in wearing blue to support those with Autism.
