A note from Mr. Dubinsky
This afternoon, parents of kindergarten and first-grade students will be able to go into PowerSchool and view their student's morning or afternoon assignment for hybrid learning. Preschool parents already know their assignments since they are currently half days.
While I know there are many different situations and circumstances for each family, we are not able to take requests for morning or afternoon sessions. There are many factors that were considered in order to make the assignments: keeping siblings together, balancing remote and in-person, special education, dual-language needs, challenge, intervention, student groupings, speech, occupational therapy, and many more. It is just not possible to meet everyone's request while also adhering to the class-size and social-distancing requirements. We appreciate your understanding and patience.
* Please be on the look out for an email early next week with arrival and dismissal procedures for in-person learning.
In-person students must bring self-certification ticket each day
All students who will be in classrooms must bring a completed self-certification ticket to school each day. The tickets can be printed from www.ccsd89.org/certify Students will also be given new tickets in class. If a student does not have their ticket when they arrive, they will move to a separate area so the school can contact their family before they enter school. Each day, the parent must include: STUDENT FIRST AND LAST NAME, PARENT SIGNATURE, and DATE on the ticket.

School supplies: bring two masks, learning device to classroom each day
All students who will be in classrooms should bring two masks to school each day, in case one gets damaged, soiled, or lost. The school has only a limited supply of replacement masks. Students should also bring their learning device (Chromebook or iPad) to school, and then back home, each day.
