Star Formation

- Star formation begins within clouds of dust throughout galaxies.Turbulence inside of the dust allows for knots with a large enough mass to collapse the gases and dust into itself.
- While the dust collapses, material at the center heats up. This build up of heat creates a hot core with much more mass than before.
- As the core clouds of dust are spinning and the core continues to bring in material, the star is created.
- While much of the gas and dust may be taken by the star, some of it is left over. What remains could turn into planets, asteroids, and comets. Or, it just stays as dust!
