Welcome to Chantal Heck who joins our Spartan family as our new FSLW.

Note from the Learning Commons

Big thank you to all those who supported the Spring Book Fair! We earned $785.97 in rewards. I am looking forward to the Fall Fair in November.

To help prepare for the end of the school year the last day for the students to take out books will be June 9th to be returned June 16th. After the 16th I will prepare notices for any lost or damaged books.

Many thanks to the students and families for making my first year as the Learning Commons Facilitator a great experience.

Bus Driver Appreciation Day

May 1 was Bus Driver Appreciation Day ! We want to thank our bus drivers for transporting our students safely as well as starting and ending the day off right ! Our Principal, Mrs. Arial and some students gave our bus drivers cards, muffins and coffee/hot chocolate.

Spring Concert

At the end of last month, our elementary students and junior high band put on a spring concert. We had a huge audience of family and community members. If you want to see the entire concert for yourself, visit our New Norway School YouTube channel. Thank you Mrs. Metcalfe!

  • Tuesday, May 9 - Deadline May 7

  • Tuesday, May 23 – Deadline May 21

  • Tuesday, May 30 – Deadline May 28

  • Tuesday, June 6 – Deadline June 4

Snack bag consists of Juice box, Granola Bar or crackers, Fruit and a treat. We will still be offering breakfast to students who don't order a snack bag, and all students can have breakfast any day. Thanks for your support of the fundraiser, so that we can continue to offer this well-used program. Please note that we also accept online donations to the Breakfast Program, and donations of snacks and lunch items to the "snack box". Our kiddos are more active now, with the warmer weather, so please check with them if they have a big enough snack to get them through the day.

BRACE Shared Students

Congratulations to those of you who completed courses in the third quarter, and to those of you who wrote diplomas!

We are now on the home stretch with only 6 weeks until the next round of diplomas begins and 8 weeks of classes remaining. Remember, if you are writing a diploma in June you should be approximately 80% of the way completed by the end of May. It is important that in any course you are in, you are 60% of the way through at this point in time, so that you can complete your course(s) and review for any final exams you might have. Leaving things until the last minute won't achieve the desired results you are hoping for.

Feel free to contact your teachers if you have any questions or concerns - you can reach them via email, phone or google meet! Also, don't forget to check your email daily.

Grade 10 Orientation

June 2, BRSD's career counselor Theresa Kruchten will be here to give an overview of High School diploma requirements to our grade 9 students. This talk will be recorded so our Grade 9 parents will have a chance to review it before students pick their grade 10 courses.
