Change a Child's Story 101
Have you heard of Bishop Trimble's initiative: Change a Child's Story: Give Books Give Time? The initiative was launched at the 2015 Iowa Annual Conference. Iowa United Methodists have been challenged to break the cycle of generational poverty through building up literacy among Iowa's children.
Do any of the following apply to you and your church?
- I need more information about the initiative to get it started in my church.
- I have heard of Change a Child's Story but I'm not sure where to start.
- My church has pledged and we have started conversations but we aren't sure how to get books or find kids to read to in our community.
- We are on a roll! We have started something audacious in our church and we would love to share our success with others!
If any of these apply to you then please join us for one of the gatherings below!
