Progress Report Grading Period 3 Ends on March 4th
Next Friday, March 4th is the end of the Progress Report 3 (P3) grading period. Teachers will post grades the following week to be available via PowerSchool on Friday, March 11th. These grades are a formative progress report and do not represent a final summative semester grade. The final summative grading period for semester 2 closes on June 14th.
LAST CHANCE: SUMMER ACADEMIC PROGRAM
The 2022 Summer/ESY morning academic program is open to ALL students:
- The enrollment/registration process will be handled CENTRALLY
- The enrollment/registration submission window begins Tuesday, February 1, 2022 and ends Monday, February 28, 2022
- Any enrollment requests after the enrollment window closes will be waitlisted
A centralized message about the 2022 Level Up SD Summer Academic program enrollment/registration process will go out to ALL families on Tuesday, February 1, 2022

Morning student drop off parent situations
Please ensure your student exits your vehicle on the right and uses the sidewalk to cross at the crosswalk...not in the middle of the street. Please do not stop in the red zone in front of the school or in the middle of the street. Please no u-turns in the cross-section!

Student Dress
Masks Not Required Outside
On Tuesday, February 15th, SDUSD announced that masks are no longer required outside while on campus. See this Link: Update on the Use of Masks for the details. Students and staff are still required to wear a mask while indoors.
Semester 2 Tardy Policy
We will be monitoring Periods 2 - 7 tardies. Excessive tardies are also reflective in citizenship grades and may impact one's ability to participate in end of the year activities. Please review your student's tardies in Powerschool.
Next Friday School is March 4th.

Student Mental Health Support
I am excited to announce that with district support, we were able to get a mental health specialist who will be onsite 2-3 days per week to support students. We will share out mental health specialist with Dana Middle School. Student referrals will go through our counseling staff.
CAUGHT BEING AWESOME
The staff at Correia enjoys recognizing positive student behavior and accomplishments. Staff recognizes students by distributing Caught Being Awesome cards. Names of students receiving cards are then submitted for our weekly raffle. Weekly winners are recognized by a gift card that is supported by the Correia Association.

Cal-SOAP is offering a series of free online "College: Make It Happen" events. Middle school students (grades 6-8) and families are welcome to join any of the webinars (2/28, 3/16, 4/14, 5/18), families can choose a date that works for them.
