Parent Survey - Encuesta para Padres
It's that time of the year again for getting parent and student surveys completed!
Alice ISD is conducting an evaluation of selected programs and would like to invite parents to participate in a school survey. As per Texas Education Code 39.0545-Section 46 of House Bill 5, districts are required to evaluate their performance at the district and campus level in 8 areas of community and student engagement and in 1 area of policy compliance.
Parents we need your input. If you have children that attend different campuses within Alice ISD please visit the campus websites to complete a survey for each school or you are welcome to complete a hard copy of the survey that can be turned in at the campus. Your responses are very important to us and we appreciate your participation.

April is Austism Awareness Month
Saenz Holds Third Annual Autism Parade
Saenz Elementary had their 3rd Annual Autism Parade on April 15, 2016. The parade promotes Autism awareness and teaches students how to be understanding and supportive of their classmates. The parade allows students to show their support by leading a march around the track chanting, "Autism powers we're all Super Stars". Saenz Elementary was presented a check in the amount of $5,200 from Manny Munoz.
Manny Munoz, a High School student, raised money and earned an Eagle Scout badge from a 5K he put together on April 2, 2016, called, "Manny's Autism Awareness 5K". With some of the proceeds from that 5K run, he donated a portion of it to Saenz Elementary's Special Education classrooms. Our hats off to Mr. Manny Munoz for his awesome work and his contribution to the Special Education Students at Saenz Elementary.
The Special Education classrooms are taught by: Javier Garcia, Wilma Hinojosa, and Mary Yantis. Their aides are Delia Naranjo, Monica Lopez, and Maggie Ramirez. The campus is led by principal Marina Garza and her assistant principal is Elizabeth Blair. Alice ISD's Director of Special Education is Gracie Garcia.
