Hero Happenings
The Heritage Family Newsletter - October 24, 2016
Dear Heritage Families,
To begin, I will share a little about myself. This is my 24th year in education and 18th year in Keller ISD. I have served as a teacher, principal, and central office administrator during my time in Keller. My husband and I are also raising our family in Keller ISD. I have a son in eighth grade and my daughter is a junior in high school. I have a personal and professional investment in this school district and as a result, am honored to be serving as the interim principal at Heritage Elementary. I just completed my first week and now I am even more excited to be joining the team. I have worked to be in classrooms, the PTA Executive Board Meeting, teacher planning and data analysis meetings, and in the hallways to learn as much as I can about your special school.
One of the things I have learned is that the students of Heritage are fantastic! They have welcomed me with smiles, waves, and hugs. They are working hard, learning, and becoming great citizens. It is truly a joy to come to work every day to celebrate with them and be a part of their lives.
I have also enjoyed getting to know the dedicated staff of Heritage Elementary. They are working hard to meet the needs of your children and are focused on partnering with you to ensure student progress and success. They have a love for the children and a drive to provide their very best.
Our Heritage PTA is also diligently working to provide exceptional services to the Heritage community. I want to thank them and all the parent volunteers for helping to make Heritage even more special. We are so appreciative of your support at school and/or at home. It is a team effort and, again, I am truly honored to now be a part of the Hero family.
I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible. Please let me know if you have questions or I can help in any way.
Warmest regards,
Laura Lockhart
