Retirement - Congratulations Mrs Brown!
Deanna Brown began her career with Eudora Schools in August of 2007, as a middle school Student Counselor. In August of 2017, she transferred to Eudora High School to serve as a Guidance Counselor. In addition to her role as a school counselor, Deanna has sponsored the Eudora Middle School Student Council. In total, Deanna has served the students, families, and staff in Eudora for 13 years.
EHS Principal, Ron Abel says, “Deanna Brown is a dedicated and caring counselor. She makes herself available to students to help manage all aspects of school life. This includes their social/emotional well-being, their academic progress, and their post-secondary plans. She has been instrumental in getting our senior students to apply, pursue, and be awarded scholarships. She is tireless and accessible and makes students feel they have the capacity to achieve great things. Her presence in the EHS Office will be missed greatly, but at least I don't have to worry about getting up so early to beat her to work.”
Please join us as we congratulate Deanna Brown on her retirement!
Retirement - Congratulations Mrs Carnagie!
As a Paraprofessional Administrative Assistant, Teresa Carnagie began her career with Eudora Schools in October of 1994 at Eudora West Elementary. Mrs. Carnagie served in various positions, assisting the office staff until she transferred to Eudora High School Secretary in August of 1999 and later transitioned to Activities Administrative Assistant in December of 2001. In addition to her role as Activities Administrative Assistant, Teresa has been a scorekeeper and the Head Senior Class Sponsor. Teresa has worked with us for almost 26 years.
Ron Abel says, “Teresa Carnagie is probably one of the most organized people I have ever worked with. She willingly contributes extra time and effort to make sure that events and school items always are ready to go. She is always weeks if not months ahead of the calendar letting each of us administrators know that things ahead are being organized or need this to be worked out. She is to be commended for her years of service to our district kids.”
EHS Athletics Director, Cara Kimberlin describes Teresa as her “right- and left-hand person." Kimberlin continues, "Mrs. Carnagie always went above and beyond, from being the senior class sponsor to spending Friday nights working in the concession stand at football games. She is just the type of personality that she never says no. If there's something that needs to be done and someone needs to step up and do it, she will step up and do it. I'm not sure that people really know how much Mrs. Carnagie did on a daily basis to keep the athletic/activities department running smoothly each day. Next year will be an adjustment for all of us. I'm so happy that Teresa will be able to enjoy her retirement with her family and traveling with her husband. I look forward to seeing her come back to games next year and being able to sit and watch a game, and enjoy it, and not be working.”
Please join us as we congratulate Teresa Carnagie on her retirement!
Retirement - Congratulations Mr Hummel!
Richard Hummel began his career with Eudora Schools in May of 2017 as the Head Custodian at Eudora High School. Richard has continued to proudly serve Eudora Schools in this role for the past three years.
Ron Abel says, “Richard has been a dependable, get things done employee. He has worked hard to meet the demands that I have placed upon him, and reliably achieves job targets. Richard enjoyed being around students and working to create a clean and safe learning environment for our kids. His wonderful organizational skills have helped to create the custodial department needed within the building. Thank you for your service, Richard.”
Please join us as we congratulate Richard Hummel on his retirement!
