Family Update
Davis Middle School
Friday, May 27, 2022
Happy Friday Davis Families,
As the sun sets on the 21-22 school year, I just want to share how much of an honor it has been to serve as your principal this year. The year was anything but the normal year that I think we were all anticipating back in August, but through all of the adversity, our students and staff have been amazing. The students came ready to go day in and day out and worked extremely hard in the classroom, adjusting to changes as they happened, and finding the good in each day. Our staff were tremendous leaders both academically in the classroom and as trusted adults in your students' lives during some tumultuous times. Thank you for your continued support of all of our staff.
I will be sending out several newsletters this summer, more so as we get closer to the start of the school year to share all of the information you will need. This will also be posted on the school website. For now, I have added a few important dates below.
It has been a great year! Everyone has earned their time for rest and relaxation, but I guarantee we will be ready to go for a new year, new learning, and new fun in August for the 22-23 school year.
Have a wonderful summer. Go Irish!
Jaime

Worthington Library Information
Summer Reading at the Worthington Libraries:
It’s almost summer reading time! See the link below for a video announcement regarding this summer’s reading program: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70OxnZUXhoA There is also an opportunity for students to become a summer library Volunteen! Is your child interested in: Giving back to the community? Working in a fun environment? Boosting their job and college applications? To volunteer at the Worthington libraries this summer, a student must be 12 years old or going into seventh grade this fall. They must also attend one orientation session and complete a Volunteen application prior to the orientation. Volunteens will help all ages register for the 2022 Summer Reading Club, hand out prizes, and encourage participants to read all summer long. They may also assist with other library programs and projects as needed. Click on the website below for more information.
