Biography
and "the Last Supper". I would consider some of his patrons to be his father and Andrea del Verocchio. Some of his other works are "Lady with an Ermire" and "Virgin and child with Saint Anne".
The Work
The painting that I chose is the "Mona Lisa". Leonardo da Vinci painted it in 1503-1506. The Museum that this painting can be found in is the Musee du Louvre in Paris France and the Mona Lisa can be found in books and on the internet. The painting is an oil on wood painting. This painting is so significant because its one of Leonardo da Vinci's most famous paintings. I find this piece interesting because the painting and colors are so simple but make such a beautiful piece of art. this piece exemplifies humanism because Leonardo da Vinci is portraying real qualities of a person living in the time of the renaissance.
