NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS AND STAFF ON MONDAY, JANUARY 18, 2021
A MESSAGE FROM F1S SUPERINTENDENT...
All schools will return to the 3 previous forms of instructional delivery on Monday, January 25th, 2021.
In addition, parents will have the option to request a change in the method of instructional delivery beginning today, January 15th at 8:00 a.m. This request period closes on Friday, January 22nd at 4:00 p.m.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation during these unprecedented times. Please stay safe and remain encouraged.
VIRTUAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE WEEK OF JANUARY 18TH- JANUARY 22ND
Moore Parents,
Below are very important details regarding next weeks instruction and the schedule that ALL students will still follow:
VIRTUAL STUDENTS:
Nothing will change for Virtual Students. Please have your child(ren) follow the Virtual schedule and protocol as normal.
A/B COHORT STUDENTS:
These students will continue to follow your A/B schedule: THIS WEEK'S SCHEDULE:
A DAY
Tuesday, January 19th
Thursday, January 21st
*Students will log in Google Classroom each of these days for LIVE Instruction (following the Virtual Schedule below). Attendance will be taken.
*Students will complete ALL eLearning assignments as normal. Attendance will be taken.
B DAY
Wednesday, January 20th
Friday, January 22nd
*Students will log in Google Classroom each of these days for LIVE Instruction (following the Virtual Schedule below). Attendance will be taken.
*Students will complete ALL eLearning assignments as normal. Attendance will be taken.
5 DAY FACE TO FACE STUDENTS:
These students will log in to Google Classroom EACH day and follow the Virtual Schedule listed below. Attendance will be taken each period.
EXTRAS!!!
- Teachers will have live interaction with students each day for lessons.
- Students should be checking their email each day.
- Lessons need to be completed by the following day (by the classroom period that the assignment was given). This includes Electives (these are graded assignments).
- Internet activity and sites are monitored on a daily basis. Please make sure you are using appropriate sites while on your chromebooks.
Parents, please make sure that your student is completing all of their assignments daily. Remind them to select the "Turn In" button when they have finished with each assignment. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to call the school . Office staff, administrators, teachers, and Guidance office personnel will be available to answer any questions you may have. We are here to help and make this experience as simple as possible for you all!
VIRTUAL SCHEDULE FOR JANUARY 19th - JANUARY 22nd
SEMESTER EXAMS...
Semester exams will take place at Moore Middle School on January 21 and 22nd. Make up dates will be January 25th and 26th.
These exams are only given to students who are currently enrolled in a semester long elective class. Exams are worth 10% of the student's semester grade.
CHANGE OF INSTRUCTION...
If you do not receive this change of action form on January 15th through your email inbox, please check your spam folder first. If you need assistance please contact Carrie Connor at carrie.connor@fsd1.org, to make sure that your email address is correct in our communication system.
LinkIt Testing
Students will take ELA LinkIt on January 19th-20th and take Math LinkIt on January 21st-22nd (depending on the instructional cohort they are in). Make up testing will take place on January 25th and 26th.
These assessments are used to determine your child’s instructional level and measure their academic growth throughout the school year. The questions are based on their grade level content standards only. (Example: 6th grade Math LinkIt only assesses 6th grade math standards).
