"Crusader of the Week" for April 1, 2022

Caydance Gabbard, a 3rd grader, is always on task and trying her best in everything she does. Mrs. Trimnell says, "Caydance is an amazing leader and example to her classmates. She is always ready to lend a helping hand! She is such a pleasure to have in class."

Aaron is a CCS Sophomore who is "consistently positive, participates, pays attention and shows leadership in class." Mrs. Jill Friedersdorf says, "Aaron, thank you for always being a strong leader with a great attitude and participation in Choir!! You are always willing to help in any area needed."

Congratulations, Aaron and Caydance!

In the last two years alone, acclaimed singer/songwriter and speaker Billy Ballenger has released his first national radio single, “Tree and the Nails,” been seen on such leading Christian television programs as The 700 Club and Life Today; and performed on Winter Jam, one of Christian music’s largest annual tours. He is now bringing his unforgettable pop music and powerful life story to audiences across the Central US with the “Faith Like A Child Tour.” Presented by Destiny Rescue, the Tour will feature acoustic performances of Billy’s best-loved songs and concert favorites, including his latest release, “Mercy.”

In addition, Billy will share his journey from a life of drugs, violence and lawlessness that eventually ended with a prison sentence, to experiencing freedom and his true calling in Christ. The “Faith Like A Child Tour” provides a unique opportunity for church members to reach out to their friends, families, neighbors and communities with the life-changing message of the Gospel.

"The Lord put it on my heart to win people to Jesus the same way someone shared the gospel with me when I was only a (10) year old child. Music with a message is my passion!" ~Billy

"Don't miss this unforgettable evening of hope and encouragement with one of Christian music’s most passionate performers."

Billy will be spending time with our students at 2 PM and will have a free concert for the public at 7PM.
