Nicholas St. North is about a man who ventures into a heavily guarded town and makes friends with a wizard and a little girl. The wizard eventually wants Nicholas St. North as an apprentice and they set out on a long journey. They eventually run into the evil Nightmare King named Pitch. They find a society called the Lunar Lamas. Furthermore, The Lunar Lamas help Nicholas St. North and the wizard defeat Pitch.
