Kirk Fenton News
5th April 2019
Dear Parents / Carers,
This week we have been treated to class assemblies from Year 2 and Year 6. It is always great to see the children sharing their learning so proudly and it is good for the children to have an audience for their work as it increases their pride in themselves and gives the younger children something to aspire to. Thank you to those parents who have enjoyed coming to see the assemblies this week.
We have recently streamlined our school rules so that they are memorable to even the youngest children. Our rules are 'Ready, Respectful and Safe' - just 3 words but words that cover most eventualities! Please take some time to discuss these with your children.
Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Karen Williams

*please help * Volunteers required Fri 26th, Sat 27th and Sun 28th April
Our very exciting playground overhaul is starting this Saturday (thank you if you are helping with that bit). The next phase will be the rebuild, taking place during the Easter Holidays, so that the children come back to a fab, exciting new outdoor environment to enjoy. Can you help? Or can you volunteer anyone else to help out? ;-)
We need to get some names on our list as there is an awful lot to do (ask Michelle if you'd like more details; there may even be a moodboard going up in school this week!)
So please, if you can help, let us know ASAP! We need a good idea of numbers in advance so that we can organise tools and maybe even refreshments....
Hope to hear from you soon
Gemma
