Industries struggled because the stocks lowered and caused them to lose money and lay people off from there jobs or lower the workers wages. With the lower wages the workers had less money to spend.
Farmers had issues farming due to the dust bowl. They had to rely more on credit and because of the dust bowl they couldn't make enough money off there crops so they couldn't pay back there credit debts.
The company's were making all the money and cutting workers wages, to make up what they lost in the stock market crash.
