REMINDER: NO CLASSES ON MONDAY, JANUARY 30
Principal's Update
As you all know, this year was the initial step in having the three programs work in coordination by removing barriers for cross enrollment. You may remember a communication in the fall about the necessity for the three programs to all be under one umbrella so all of our programs could work in our online systems (synergy, SDS, etc...) together. To formalize the process and continue our work to make a portfolio of learning options available, we will be operating as one school starting in the 2023-2024 school year. Each program will continue to maintain its service model which means parent partnership (NFP), in-person core/comprehensive classes (Networks), and online (NOA) options will continue. However, we are listening to your feedback and may have some additional options available for next year like on-campus credit bearing electives.
Our leadership teams continue to work on plans for the upcoming year. One example of the work being carried out is the work on deciding a name, mascot, and school colors for the overarching school that will house our ALE options. The Student Advisory Council (SAC) has selected 5 options for school names, 5 options for school mascots, and 5 options for school colors. Our student body will be casting their votes on these options very soon and we are eager to hear their voice in this matter. The SAC has been working very collaboratively and their leadership is an example of the strong student body that will continue to grow across the learning options of our school for one strong unified community of students.
In other news, you will be receiving a supplemental registration newsletter on on Friday, February 3. I have changed the date from February 1 to February 3 due to some time constraints at the beginning of this week. We are excited to share with you news about the upcoming year and excited that we will be able to complete both enrollment and class registration for the 2023-2024 by the end of this academic year.
