General information

Kinesiotherapists develop and monitor exercise workouts to help people regain muscle strength and function lost from injury or disease. Kinesiotherapists know all about anatomy, and how each part of the body works by and how it works with other body parts. He or she then chooses exercises that will achieve specific strength or mobility enhancing goals.

Every Kinesiotherapist will:

  • Evaluate the patient's mobility, strength, and endurance
  • Discuss treatment goals
  • Educate the patient about how the body works and what is causing the impairment
  • Create a treatment plan for the patient
  • Guide the patient in performing exercises correctly

Additional Information

Demand for Kinesiotherapist is on the rise. Students perform 1,000 hours of clinical work under the supervision of a Registered Kinesiotherapist (RKT).
