Board Meeting Summary 13/3/18
The School Board generally meet once a month, at each Board meeting we hear reports from the Principal, the Board Treasurer, Holy Rosary Community representative and the Parish Representative. Father Peter could not attend this Board meeting so Mark de Kluyver updated the Board on the Parish news.
The main points of discussion for the Board meeting this month were the update of the Schools Strategic Plan. The Board have been discussing updating the plan for a number of months and are piecing together a plan to involve the school community as a whole in the final product. The Strategic Plan will be quite high level, but everything will be actionable and have a time frame.
The Board members are also updating their profiles for the new school website.

FAREWELL ERIN HORNE
Pat Winton returns to Year Five next term following his surgery, and this means that Friday is Erin Horne’s last day. Erin, you have provided a fabulous start to Year Five for these children. We have so enjoyed working with you and thank you for what is a significant contribution to our community. You leave with our best wishes for a fantastic future!
FREE DRESS FRIDAY
Monies raised are going to Awareness Cambodia to pay for the swimming lessons at the school where our staff Sue Desmond and Sue Harvey worked over the 2017/18 summer break. They continue to support this place and we do some work to support their efforts.
REGIS OPENING NEXT DOOR
Last week some of our choir members sang at the opening of the new Facility next door. It was nice to be invited to participate. This is a 124 bed high care nursing home developed by Regis. Our children sang beautifully and added a youthful and enjoyable dimension to the evening. To our Music teacher Michelle Kirwan, the children who sang, and their parents who brought them, our sincere thanks.
YEAR FIVE DOMINIC ASSEMBLY
The Star Wars theme was fabulous! To the children, their teachers Sandra and Liz and Music teacher Michelle, thank you for a fantastic and entertaining assembly!
EDUDANCE CONCERTS
The concerts were amazing! Jenna and Bree did a great job of teaching our children over the term in readiness for these two events. The children responded exceptionally well, and it was evident that they were building on the skills that they started to learn last year. To the record number of parents, guardians and extended family who attended the concerts, our thanks to you for coming along to celebrate these events.

ANGELICO STREET CLEAN UP
Saturday morning a group of parents descended on Angelico Street to take on the jungle behind the After School Care centre. Armed with chainsaws, rakes and wheelbarrows the area has been cleared in time for the free Council green collection. Thanks to Liesbet Schwertfeger for organising, Brother Stephen, to the parents who helped and all the children who ‘helped’! Tiring but rewarding.

FAQ is Back !

- Challenge Stadium policy is to allocate only one day per school in term one because of demand.
Will we have 3 Year Old Kindy in 2019?
