The Plug
The Center for Identity and Inclusion Newletter
The Center
The Center for Identity and Inclusion welcomes you to our Mar/Apr edition of The Plug newsletter! Our goal is to both recognize and celebrate diversity efforts across campus that advance a culture and climate that is welcoming, respectful, and fosters engaging dialogue. We applaud our faculty, staff, and students whose efforts continue to help "The Center" build capacity for inclusive excellence. We offer a range of programs, discussions, social events, resources, guest lectures and events to continue a path of self-discovery.
All Are Welcome
The Center provides a space for students to explore their multiple identities and learn about the backgrounds and experiences of others. Whether you find it to be your home away from home; a safe space; an area to broaden your horizons; a place to host a program or exhibition; a study area; a place for you to discuss issues on campus; or merely a place to rest and have a bite to eat in between classes, we welcome you to explore, share, learn and be challenged.
The Power of a United MICA
The Center for Identity and Inclusion, Office of Human Resources, and the Women of Color Collective (WOCC) invite you to a conversation with the Director of Equity, Awo Sarpong Ansu and Associate Dean Clyde Johnson, "Can Wakanda Exist Here?" to explore lessons learned from the movie Black Panther and whether they can be applied to MICA.
