The audience will gain an awareness of the characteristics and struggles of dyslexic students as well as become more familiar with strategies and resources that will enhance the learning of dyslexic students and those with learning differences.
Dyslexia Awareness Month
October is Dyslexia Awareness Month! The International Dyslexia Association (IDA) home office and branches across the country and in Canada provide an array of conferences, workshops, webinars, and information sessions to inform and engage parents, families, educators and the general public.

Darlene will share her personal journey of growing up dyslexic, raising a dyslexic child and becoming and educator and an advocate for dyslexic students, teachers and parents. With hundreds of hours of training in the area of dyslexia, 504 and literacy development Darlene has an expertise that comes from being on both sides of the journey.
