Principal's Message
Happy Homecoming!!! This is truly one of the most fun and exciting weeks of the year. It is so much fun to see our students wearing their class colors, dressing up, laughing in their advisories, and making the memories that make high school so fun and meaningful. Please encourage your children to really take a few opportunities to get involved and participate in the great activities that make our homecoming celebrations so much fun.
Speaking of involvement, did you know that students who participate in an extracurricular club, sport, or activity have better grades, better attendance, and exhibit increased confidence and happiness? Increasing student engagement and connectedness is the growth goal of our school for the 2022/23 school year. We want to see all kids fully engaged in all parts of the school experience.
In the past year Greenfield High School has added more than a dozen new clubs, activities and organizations. We have a club or activity for almost every interest - from drama, to business, to medical careers, eSports, as well as a full bevy of leadership, music and athletic offerings. We know the impact getting involved has on our students and we want to see everyone connect to our school community, both inside and outside of our classrooms.
I hope you and your families are enjoying the beginning of the transition of seasons! We look forward to sending out these monthly updates to you throughout the school year. As always, please feel free to give myself, or any of our administrators or counselors, a call if we can be of assistance!
It’s a great day to be a HAWK!!!!
Mr. Todd Willems, Principal
Take Note...
Lunch Deliveries
Per our Student Handbook, food deliveries will not be allowed for students during the school day. Parental drop-off of a forgotten lunch may be allowed at administrative discretion. Any food deliveries via a courier service of any kind will be denied and the food will not be collected by the school. We appreciate your support in sharing this with your student, and value your cooperation with this as well.
Tardies
It is important, and expected, that all students are on-time for class every day. Excessive tardiness will trigger consequences, including loss of ability to attend or participate in school activities and athletics as well as the possibility of a referral to truancy court. Please help us support all students in getting to school and class on-time every day.
Attendance
When reporting a student's absence, please follow one of these two options.
Call our attendance line at 414-281-6200 and press option 1. Please speak clearly and spell the student’s last name when leaving a message.
Download our Infinite Campus Parent Portal, log into your account, click on More in the bottom left hand corner, and then click on Absence Request. Choose the student you wish to report an absence for and click on the dropdown to choose the reason and add any additional comments before hitting submit.
(You will need an access code if this is your first time logging into the parent portal. Contact our District Office at 414-855-2050 or the main office at 414-281-6200 to obtain that code.)
