Greece and Rome

Greece had may city states so each city state had it's own government. For example most of the city states were ruled by monarchies which are kings or queens. Then other areas were ruled by oligarchies, which are powerful members of society. But Athens on the other hand was a democracy which means the people basically get to rule.

Rome on the other hand had a monarchy government which was ruled by emperors.


Roman Contributions

The Roman Empire contributed many ideas to society that still impact our lives today. For example they contributed a system of laws, the Latin language, the spread of Christianity, and the development of aqueducts

Greek Contributions

They contributed art, architecture, mythology, and science.
