Zinc and Indium

By Grace Hewlett

Zinc

Uses: roofs, telephones, constructions, food (pork chop, cereal, cheeseburgers), batteries

World Without: Without zinc, the world would be a hard place to live. You would not be able to talk on your phone so people would still have to use mail . We would have to use other things to build our roofs and there would be no roofs or construction. Humans would not get the nutrients they need. We would also not be able to use anything that run on batteries.

Indium

Uses: glass, mirrors, alternative to mercury, nuclear power

World Without: Imagine waking up in the morning and fixing your hair without a mirror. Then you look out your window that has nothing in it, so bugs are crawling in and out. You have to use wind or water power because there is no such thing as nuclear power. This is what life would be like if there was no indium
