T.H.E. Trail Guide

This month’s focus is Cooperation. One way to think about Cooperation is “working together to reach shared goals.” At home, talk about how this definition applies to how you work together. One way your family can practice cooperation at home is by planning a time where everyone needs to work together to accomplish a shared goal like cleaning up the space you live in or making a meal together. Make sure everyone has a role to play with specific tasks. When the project is complete, discuss and celebrate how each person’s part was important to the end result.

Your follow up at home reinforcing your child as he/she demonstrates “cooperation” each day would be a wonderful home-school connection. Thank you for raising such amazing children and for your continued support of our school community.

SBA testing for 3rd-5th grades will be May 15th-26th-It is highly recommended that you DO NOT plan appointments or vacation for your student at this time!

The first ever Tehaleh Heights Elementary Grade Level music concerts are coming soon! Beginning with 4th and 5th grades on Thursday March 23, students will share with families a program filled with Disney Classics right here in the Launchpad. 4th and 5th grade will perform together from 6-6:30pm. Students should arrive at 5:45pm dressed “in their best.”

O'Connor Photography will be at our school on Wednesday 3/15 to take Class Group Photos as well as each student has the opportunity to be photographed for a Spring Individual Green Screen Portrait.

All students will be photographed in the Class Group photo. Only students who pre-order an Individual will be photographed. Kindergarten registration is in full swing, with a variety of activities and resources to help families and incoming kinders prepare for the first day of school. This month our schools are hosting orientations, called Kindergarten Roundup. Prior to kinder screening, Roundup provides students and families an opportunity to physically tour the school, meet staff and receive information about registration and screening.

We are excited to announce a new partnership with Right At School, a nationally-recognized school enrichment provider for before- and after-school care for elementary-aged students at all of our elementary schools and the Sumner Early Learning Center starting with the 2023-24 school year.

About Right at School

Right at School provides families flexibility in enrollment options and a comprehensive enrichment curriculum to keep students engaged while they participate. Students will have a healthy snack, engage in dynamic fitness activities, student-driven projects, team building, leadership development, and have the opportunity to complete homework assignments.

No problem if you can’t recall if you’ve sent them already – send them again to be sure! (One family entry into prize drawing regardless of quantity of submissions.)

ORIGINAL WORKS orders - put your student's artwork on a variety of home and office products, coordinated by the PTA! Order deadline is March 24! (Keep an eye on your student’s backpack for Original Works ordering details, if you haven't seen them already - our Art Docent teams are sending these materials home as they get sample artwork completed in class.)

Order packets will include an artwork sample your child has made during a recent Art Docent lesson, order form and a catalog of products to choose from. If you would like to order, please complete the form and return the materials to your teacher by March 24th. The PTA will handle all the shipping and coordination!
