NEXUS CALENDARS 2022
School Uniform Survey
What do the results show?
65.4% of parents would prefer that the children in grades K-5 can have the option to wear green shirts. 80.8% of parents prefer that the children in Junior High can continue to wear green shirts.
What is our plan for the future after reviewing these results?
Our plan is to allow ALL (K-8) students in the school to have the option to wear green or white shirts. We are going to contact a local business to get a school uniform ordering site available with our school logo.
What will be the difference between the elementary grades and the Junior High?
Students in the elementary grades (K-5) will wear navy blue bottoms and navy blue sweatshirts. The junior high students (6-8) will continue to wear khaki colored pants and shorts and green sweatshirts.
Will we still utilize Lands End as a source to purchase uniforms?
Yes. Lands End will continue to be the source to purchase uniform skirts and jumpers. You can also purchase uniform shirts, bottoms, and sweatshirts through this company as you have in the past.
Why the change?
Recently we have been asked why the young students in grades K-5 wear white when they have a tendency to get rather messy. We feel that this will be a good option for those families who find it difficult to keep their children's shirts white. However, if you still prefer white for your student in grades K-5, that will continue to be an option.
PARENTS NIGHT OUT/KIDS NIGHT IN DECEMBER 3
Save the date for our first Parents Night Out/Kids Night In event! This night of fun for Pre-K through fifth-grade students will take place on December 3rd from 6-8:30 p.m. The cost to attend the event will be $10. Registration forms with more details will be coming home with students sometime in the next couple of weeks. Pre-registration will be required. Any questions please contact Shannon Mays (smays@standrewgradeschool.com) or Natalie Henry (nhenry@standrewgradeschool.com). They both can be reached via email or phone at St. Andrew School. There will be a meeting the week of November 15th for those parents who have signed up to volunteer at this event. Parent volunteers should have also received a text this week. If you did not please contact Shannon or Natalie. St. Andrew Middle School students are welcome to sign up to volunteer at this event. They should see Mrs. Mays in the fifth-grade classroom next week for a volunteer form.
