Parent Newsletter January 2023
From the Principal's Desk (Mrs. Natalie Smith-Benson)
Here are some ideas that you can do to help your child.
1. Make sure your child is in school and on time each day.
2. Check their folders nightly.
3. Make sure your child brings his/her device to school each day, fully charged
4. Read with your child.
5. Reward their efforts.
6. Stay positive and be involved.
7. Connect with your child's teacher through Class Dojo (Instructions for log-in are below)
8. Remind your child that STJ Scholars have GRIT! (Growth Mindset, Integrity, Responsibility and Respect, Trust)
As a staff we are always talking about meeting or exceeding growth targets. We encourage the students to work hard each day and we appreciate all the support from the parents. We feel very fortunate to have such wonderful families at Stephanie Tubbs Jones School who support the children and the staff. We look forward to continuing our partnership in 2023! If you have questions, please contact your child's teacher.
