A Message from our Principal, Mr. Pflugrath...

Dear Osbourn Family,

I hope you had an enjoyable Spring Break. Reminder that Monday, April 5th is a school holiday, classes resume on Tuesday, April 6th. As we begin to head down the home stretch toward the end of the year, I would like to simply say that we are in a pretty good place as a school. While I know that every student experience has not been anywhere near perfect, I do know that we have had a very good number of students who have reported that their experience has been positive considering the situation we are all in. If there are things that we can do as a school to make your child’s experience better, please feel free to bring that forward. It is one of the main ways we get better and make your child’s time with us more valuable.

Friendly reminder about our year end grading policies. There are no final exams, no zeros on assignments, and students/parents can elect to have “P” for pass in lieu of a passing letter grade. Conversations with your child’s counselor can provide you and your child with that necessary insight needed to make the informed decision that is right for your child. Summer school registration begins the last week of May. We are offering an expanded and robust summer school offering this year for our students at no cost to our students and families when taking courses for credit recovery.

For our Seniors, we are actively planning our Senior Drive Through, Senior Celebration, and a dignified in-person Graduation ceremony. I am very optimistic that we will have activities that will work for our families and that will give us an opportunity to have great culminating celebrations for our Class of 2021 Seniors!

This is National Assistant Principal Week, #APWeek21. I would like to recognize Mrs. Ingles-Whitaker, Mr. Thomas, Mr. Nitowski, Mr. Smith and Mrs. Castor. We are blessed to have such a dedicated and professional team of experienced assistant principals at Osbourn. Thank you for your service!

Thank you to each of you for all of your support. Take care and continue to be safe.
