Hello Parents!
First off, thank you to all the contributors of our Spell-A-Thon fundraiser. Our class earned $700, which I will be busy spending over the next couple of months on many needed supplies. I appreciate your time and efforts in contributing so much!

Also, the students really enjoyed Hour of Code last week! A HUGE "thank you" to Lindsey Gutierrez, Carmen McKinstrey, and Zabin Alibhai for running this fun event for the kids.

Thank you to Rini Kundu, Karen O'Neal, and Rika Wellbaum for running the Arts Attack lesson last week. Students were able to paint their favorite scene from the story: The Night Before Christmas!

Tomorrow we are having our Polar Express party! Students may come in pajamas, and bring a pillow and blankets (optional). The students will watch the movie, have donut holes, cocoa, and popcorn. Thank you to the Rashid and Gonzalez families for all of the goodies!

When we return, we will start Module 4 in math. I have included the new guide below. We will also start our PBL (Project Based Learning) on local hunger. We will need a collection of brown paper bags for the project, so if you have any, please send them my way.
Lastly, one parent found a fun way for kids to practice multiplication math facts. If your child has a hard time with their facts, check out this link:

I wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas! Have an excellent, enjoyable vacation together and see you in 2016!!

P.S. Don't forget~If you visit Christmas in the Park with your families, check out our class tree! It is #394. I hope it's still intact after all of the storms : )
