Holy Cross Catholic School
From the Desk of Mrs. Wagner
April 9, 2021
Last night I was able to witness those same excited kindergarten students now grown up receiving the sacrament of Confirmation. This was a bitter-sweet moment as I truly believe spending time with these students over the years has been a gift from God. This is what makes being a Catholic educator so rewarding. We get to help be a part of their spiritual and academic journey and then we get to see them go take what they learned at Holy Cross with them on their new adventures. I know they are off to change the world and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for them.
To the Eighth Grade Class:
May you find joy and comfort in Jesus, learn from this sacrament to love Him and others—to bear your cross with patience and joy until the last day through Him who lives and reigns with our Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
As Johnson County enacted its own Public Health Order recently, we will continue wearing masks, practicing social distancing, maintaining proper hand-sanitizer usage, and continuing our cleaning routines, but temperature checks have been lifted. One little step at a time gives us hope for returning to normal soon.
Creating our strategic plan for next year has created a buzz and energy for a future full of so many opportunities. A fresh start with minimal Covid obstacles has all of us creatively thinking about how we want to structure our academic and spiritual program. Looking back on the accomplishments we have made in such a challenging year, has us energized with what we can do in a typical year. We can't wait to share all our new plans soon. Thank you all who are joining us next year and if you are undecided please consider joining us. We could not be more excited about the future of Holy Cross. We would love current families to have a spot in our classrooms so please call the school office with any enrollment or scholarship questions.
Have a beautiful weekend!
