Italy was best known for their art and literature. One of their greatest achievement of the Italian Renaissance Architecture was St. Peter's Basilica that was officially designed by Donanto Bramante. There was very great literature they had. For example, Dante wrote The Divine Comedy which was a masterpiece of poetry. As well they had Alessandro Manzoni who wrote The Betrothed which was a historical novel. One of their best known was The Prince written by Niccolo Machiavelli which was political science essay.
Italy's Religion
Italy had a Roman Catholic religion. Baptisms, weddings, funeral services were mostly held in church.
Italian Goverment
Italy's government was somewhat the same as the government in the United States. Italy as well has a president that was elected for a seven year term. Although they had a president, they did not have a vice president. The Prime minister and cabinet were known as the government. the prime minister determines national policy. Italy then had a Parliament that passed laws.
