Teacher Weekly
St. Vincent de Paul Parish School
Greetings, staff!
Thank you to all teachers who provided such wonderful awards for our learners. The feedback from the assemblies was great! Please send me an email if you did not have a chance to voice your opinions, concerns, or ideas about the awards assembly. These assemblies will be after each academic quarter.
I also received excellent feedback from our Parent-Teacher conferences. Families seemed to be understanding of what their child/children are expected to do in this next quarter. Please remember to update Edline on a weekly basis- this help parents to stay in the know!
Please watch the video below. This kid seems to have it all figured out at such a young age... he must attend an IB-STEM school!

THE WEEK'S NOTES
IPADs: The first round of requested apps were pushed out to iPads on Friday. The second round of requests are due into my office by December 19th.
RECYCLE: There are beautiful new recycling bins in our cafeteria. Please be sure you are going green while here at school! Items able to be recycled are milk cartons, plastics, and glass.
STAFF MEETING: During our Monday staff meeting we will discuss the new evaluation system, the new vision, mission, and values, and lesson plans. Please come with open minds, collaborative attitudes, and a big smile.
CORE VALUES: We sure have been hard at work reviewing our mission, vision, and core values of SVDP. The expectation is that you are commending and rewarding ALL learners when you see these behaviors! Please know I am keeping track of who is giving them out and supporting our mission, vision, and values! If you are not giving them out... make the change this quarter!
SKATING PARTY: The Skating Party has been rescheduled for this Thursday, November 13th. Show your support, even for just a few short minutes this Thursday.
MS. HUNTER: We are so fortunate to have this gal on our staff. She is in high demand at times, and following the protocol that is in place is best for her quality of work. Please provide the times that you need Ms. Hunter via the purple forms you were given last week. There are extra forms in the main office.
EDLINE: The 2nd quarter expectation is that you are updating Edline on a weekly basis. The expectation, for parents, is that they are able to log on and see a current grade in the child's class without having to communicate with you. Please make sure you are meeting this expectation.
PLC: NO PLC THIS WEEK.
STAFF SERVICE OPPORTUNITY! SALVATION ARMY KETTLE BELL RINGERS: Saturday, November 15th @ The Acme #1 on W. Market Street. Sign up for 1 hour increments with your family, teacher friends, or just an hour alone. This is a great way to ring in the holidays with a bit of service. You are more than welcome to invite your class to help ring as well. The sign up sheet for this day is in the main office, next to the daily sign in sheet. NEED A FEW MORE SPOTS FILLED!
STAFF SERVICE OPPORTUNITY! UNITED WAY Our December Staff meeting will open with a message from United Way. All employees are asked to attend for a 10 minute presentation. Please mark your calendars.
MASS PARTICIPATION: Please practice the responses for the mass and expect to hear them during mass. I notice some learners (and even some teachers!!!) not participating at all. Please be sure you are expecting their best!
