LCS Wildcat Clips
November 24, 2020
As we sit down to enjoy our Thanksgiving Day feast, let's all remember those that are not as lucky and be thankful for everything in ours lives today.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and Be Safe so we can Stay Open!
COVID OVER BREAK
Our families have been diligent about keeping sick children and close contacts home. We are asking our families to keep an extra close eye on their children the two weeks following the holiday weekend. Individuals can contract COVID-19 up to 14 days after being in contact with a positive case. (In addition, individuals with COVID-19 are contagious two days prior to having symptoms.) If your child exhibits symptoms or has had contact with anyone who starts to show symptoms within that time frame, please keep them home and have them tested right away.
PLEASE NO PARKING ALONG GYM
CARING AND SHARING
'Tis the Season to be giving! This year is no exception to families needing assistance. This holiday season will be different on many levels. We would like to continue Caring and Sharing as a tradition for giving and helping others in our community. Instead of a signup genius as in years past, I will be accepting monetary donations to purchase gifts for families. This will allow less exposure/contact for safety. If you are able and would like to donate, please make checks payable to LCS with "Caring and Sharing" in the memo by Friday, December 4th. Please contact Heather Thurin, school counselor, if you have any questions at email@example.com.
OUTDOOR CLASSROOM DONATIONS
Thank you to Roger Voelker and Champion Windows for their donation of windows for this project!
We are attempting to raise an additional $5,000 for completion. This money would be used for:
3 sliding patio doors
lumber for framing
portable electric heater (25 amp)
If you would like to help out, donations can be sent to the school office.
DRESS FOR THE WEATHER
With the first snowfall of the year, just a reminder to dress kids for the weather. Hats, mittens, boots, snow pants if necessary. Because of the wet weather it is also a good idea to have an extra pair of socks or even pants in the younger kids backpacks. We have kids come to the office looking for dry clothes after coming in from the playground but we only have so much to offer in the Health Room.
REMINDER: Hat season is Lice season! Stress the importance of not sharing hats as this is a sure way to spread lice if it is present. We do have some extra hats in the health room if a student forgets one.
