Saxons became Kings of Germany in the 10th Century
Location
Saxons were powerful Germans who lived in England, the Netherlands, and northern Germany. The name came from seax which was the name of a knife used often by the tribe.
Widukind
Widukind was a leader of the saxons during the wars of 777 and 785. He was the chief opponent of another king.
King Cerdic
King of the west saxons and influenced later genealogies of the english monarchy.
