Project Feed the Thousands Food Drive is Underway
Classrooms all have donation bins and we will have out first weigh in next week.
We have attached a copy of the suggested shopping list for items to donate. We encourage families to pick up 1, 2 or even 10 items each week- whatever your budget and your shopping cart can manage. Small contributions made weekly by the whole school will really add up.
If you are unable to send in non-perishable food, you are welcome to send in a monetary donation instead.
Thank you for supporting this very important food drive for our community neighbors.
Yearbook Club Began This Week
For the first meeting, she shared with students her own experiences in yearbook publication, and challenged all of the students to think about their own interests and strengths. The students discussed what was important to them in a yearbook, and how to make sure everyone in the school was included in the end product.
Mrs Gauthier is looking to recruit students for event coverage and photographs of daily activities here at SMS. There will be lots of decisions to be made, and layouts to be planned and executed. So far, we have 18 students who have stepped up to help out in some way.... Stay tuned for what looks to be our best yearbook yet!
Do you have an old chess set lying around you could donate?
New Chess Club Beginning Next Week on Wednesday
Students will have an opportunity to enjoy AMP together and then head upstairs to the Religious Education and Extended Care room for an hour of chess.
