Hays Band News
Week of Mar. 16th - Mar. 20th
Welcome Back!
We hope you are all staying healthy and have enjoyed your Spring Break! We hope you have enjoyed a relaxing week off and had lots of time to travel. It is now time for us to get back to work and the Hays Band Staff is very excited to work with your children again!
We will be communicating on a weekly basis with you all about events and assignments due. The first assignment for online learning will be due this Sunday, March 22nd. Students are to post a picture or a video of themselves doing maintenance on their instrument. They can submit this assignment via Google Classroom or by email to their teacher if they have an issues submitting via Classroom. See Google Classroom for more specific details about instrument maintenance. Additionally, there will be a Google Form posted in Google Classroom to fill out for attendance each day your child has their normal band class.
If your student did not take their instrument home or has forgotten some of their supplies at the Hays band hall, please visit our Sign Up form at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050E44AEA728A2FB6-hays2 for an opportunity to collect those items this week. Please take time to read the description at the top of the form for details on how we plan to limit contact and make this a secure process.
If your child is in private lessons, please contact their lesson teacher this week. Many of our teachers have told us they will be offering opportunities for remote lessons. It is important to continue progress in their playing over this extended absence from traditional school. If your student is not yet in private lessons, visit our website at https://www.haysband.com/lessons. This would be a great opportunity for your child to utilize their extra free time to improve on their instrument.
Please let us know if you have any questions as we are here to support you and your family. Email is the best way to communicate with a director at this time. Stay healthy and we look forward to kicking off our online learning this week!
