**I have been and will continue to collect some instructional practices data for our buildings. You already have the answers of what I am looking for; these practices are aligned to our district and school SLOs. If you have any questions, please let me know.**
We are in Phase One of our curriculum work. The goal is to have clarity on what we expect students to learn when they are in our district.
Please click this link for the work that will be taking place over the next 3-5 years. This document outlines 3 phases that make up the process.
Content area teams will be contacted about the standards they are using for their subject. The purpose of this is to have a clearly defined standards for all content areas K-12.
NFDL Assessment
Our district uses a Balanced Assessment System approach (summative, benchmark, formative) to assessing student learning. We value multiple measures of data, as opposed to using one source of information.
- ACCESS Testing window closes February 2nd
Local Benchmark Assessments/Screeners
- K-5 literacy readiness assessments and running records are taking place at ELC/FLC this month
- STAR Reading, STAR Math, & STAR Spanish testing is taking place across the district in all buildings this month
- Our Goal = 100% test participation for STAR testing
- Email Adam if a student retakes a test so that this can be edited in STAR and eduCLIMBER
Formative Assessments
Do you collect notes on your students to have evidence of the skills they are displaying in your classroom? Why or why not?

We believe in using instructionally sound practices to impact student learning, not to impact the Effectiveness Project. If we do this, our work in Frontline will take care of itself.
