Chair in New Learning Environments, Anglia Ruskin University and Executive chairman Learning Possibilities+ Chair of ETAG whose mission is to promote the use of digital technology across the schools, further education and higher education sectors for the benefit of students, employers and the wider economy.

Stephen's "eyes on the horizon, feet on the ground" approach, coupled with a vast portfolio of effective large scale projects over three decades, have established him internationally as a widely recognized leader in the fields of learning, new media and technology. Stephen is a leading voice on the role of ICT in learning. Stephen’s own policy, research and practice consultancy advises governments and national agencies throughout the world on the strategic development of ICT.
