October 2-October 13 Attendance Incentive-Luncheon Date T.B.A.
Regular school attendance is essential for student success. Even absences that are excused result in students missing important instruction. When a student is absent, we notice because we care and want your child to be successful. Just missing two days a month, can add up to missing ten percent of the school year. Statistics show that a student that misses ten or more days a year is twenty percent less likely to graduate from high school.
The students that were present from October 2-October 13 will receive a special invitation for lunch with N. Anderson and B. Jones. Date T.B.A.
There were 57 students who had perfect attendance for the first 9 weeks.
In order to earn a Perfect Attendance Award for a school year, the student must not only be in attendance every school day, but also meet three other criteria:
1. He or she must have no more than two excused tardies in arriving at school. Students must provide proper documentation for tardy to be excused.
2. Have no half-day absences on his/her attendance record for school year.
3. He/she can have no more than two excused checkouts. Student must provide proper documentation for checkout to be excused.
Each student who received perfect attendance will receive a special "Perfect Attendance" ribbon from Principal Jones on Monday, October 23, 2017!
